The wiper motor normally powers one or more electric motors. The wiper motor consists of a motor, a gearbox, shaft and housing. The gearing mechanism may be a worm or a screw gear. The shaft transmits the torque value onto the gearing mechanism. The fanwheel is machined onto the shaft in such a way that the convection is forced through the gears. A rotating electric motor usually runs in one direction only. The wiping action is achieved via the lever gearboxes.
